Gut Health and Trauma - How I Am Finally Recovering

I finally figured out what is "eating" me.

The Trauma of growing up in a violent family dynamic. I have so many physiologically unprocessed traumatic events - stuck in my stomach - that simply need to moved out so that my brain and psyche can DIGEST them and then they can be POOPED OUT - gone - transformed into energy that I can use for life.

Last summer, I became unable to digest animal protein - I began hurling whenever I would eat an egg or any animal product. Literally, I would be driving down the road and suddenly would have to pull over and projectile vomit all over myself and the car.

I have always had stomach issues - as a kid I was constantly constipated, had stomach aches, and would binge-eat oreos in front of the TV. Sugar and candy were the only things I could eat plenty of.

The "balanced" diet of meat, vegetables and starch that my mom tried to get me to eat every night, along with cereal with milk for breakfast and sandwhiches for lunch - yuck...

The progressed into adulthood - I had anxiety constantly - and as a young adult I could only eat frozen shakes although in college I survived on Sabrett hotdogs and coffee...

In my early 30s I started getting colonics to poop and so began the search for the perfect diet which led me to a Naturopathic Doctor who gave me Betaine HCL digestive enzymes and Magnesium Citrate which is a subtle laxative.

I hate to be dependent on pills - even natural ones so I continued to try to figure it out.

As a result of being in Autonomy, I was extremely triggered as a result of school bullying from childhood as well as violence at home - and began EMDR therapy with a fellow graduate.

I have been working with him weekly on processing these events - for about 3 months now and prior to that I was working on IFS Therapy with another graduate...

This week I was CRAVING chicken soup as I felt a little seasonal germ trying to take me down - I also bought some sardines. I was able to eat both chicken soup and sardines - although I do feel a little flemmy - the mucous from eating animal protein is real - and whether I will continue to eat animal protein is yet to be determined, however -

the point is - my stomach is healing up!!!

As a result of processing the childhood trauma!!!

I am doing both IFT - Internal Family Systems Therapy and EMDR on zoom -and it is INCREDIBLE.

My stomach is healing up! I feel a lot better. Yes I still have absorption problems, and I still have a sluggish colon, but I am not done with the therapy either.

All I do is remember a traumatic event and then link it to a present day situation and then do rapid eye-movement with a little talk - laughter or crying- and at the end of the session it turns into parts therapy and boom - I have a little more of myself back.

The point of all this is the last time I published a post about my gut health I got attacked by a reader who just told my that I'm doing it all wrong - because it's the alkaline diet that I need - and that's what you always hear is someone's ego response to you - with advice on what you should do -

Nobody knows what you should do - except God - what happened this last time was that I begged for help - not that I have not done this many times before, but I guess this was the surrender time - because I am out of desire to try the next new thing - and then it was revealed - that I am being cured by dealing with the trauma!!!
