I've worked with Chayla a few times now and she's an amazing model, always a pleasure to work with. These images were shot in an undisclosed location not too far from where I live. We try to mix fashion modelling with abandoned architecture for a contrast, and also try to add in some interesting lighting where possible.
The first shot was backlit with a blue gelled flash and burning wire wool attached to a drill which sparks when spun.
The second shot was a fashion shot, again backlit to light Chayla's hair. This technique works great if the model has red hair and an orange gel, it makes the end of the hair look like fiery embers.
The last three shots from the shoot were standard fashion shots..
