Ignore Your Reality And It Will Disappear

In a previous post, I talk a lot about failure and how to avoid it by IGNORING your current reality. I'd like to do a breakdown for you of this concept.

The most common reason people fail

The most common reason people fail is because life often throws tailored tests at you when you make a new goal or develop a new attitude or skill. Most of us see these obstacles as quite legitimate and logical reasons why we should probably not attempt the thing after all because it will either not happen, or it will not be worth the struggle even if it does.

And if the challenges continued in this way, you may actually be correct. Which is why you stop. You are not giving up. You are stopping a challenge.

Tailored Challenges Show Us Our Beliefs

However, what we don't realize is that these challenges are tailored experiences that are meant to show you what your current limitations and beliefs are, in contrast to the new concept you are attempting to implement.

The reason they show up is simple. You cannot have two conflicting beliefs at once.

If the new belief or reality is forming, then the old ones show up to say,

"Hey wait, which one of these realities did you want? Cuz you can't have us both!"

Again, most of us view challenges as evidence that we will not be able to break through a current situation. But what is really happening is, they are showing up because YOU are testing your REALITY. Not the other way around.

And the more important (or attached you are to) the new goal or shift, or the more drastic it is from your current reality, the more obvious your challenges will be.

You Are NOT Sabotaging Yourself!

Don't let anybody tell you that. Including your mother. Mothers can be silly. We fuss too much. You just put that in your pocket and shoosh it for a moment. You are not sabotaging yourself. In fact, quite the opposite. You are most likely getting a harder trial because you are more attached to the outcome of its success.

Remember, if challenges arise, it is happening because your deeper truths and beliefs are coming up so you can see them in contrast to what you are about to create. You are showing yourself your current beliefs and fears so we can be sure to choose the one we want.

The ONLY reason we view them as challenges is because they are not currently the one we want any longer.

Challenges Don't Know They're Challenges

People have a tendency to think they are somehow being targeted when a challenge arises. But the fact is, challenges don't know they are challenges. They are simply mirrors of a belief or a fear or a value. If your beliefs were different, then the circumstances would show up as those. You just PERCEIVE them as challenges because they are not what you want them to be.

In fact, everything around us is showing us our current belief system. We don't go around thinking everything around us is a challenge, do we? Most of the time, we just go around driving our car, sleeping in our bed, talking on our phone, eating our bread -- without thinking about it.

But I guarantee you, the second you decide you'd like to change one of those concepts, they will show up stronger and more prevalantly.

Everything Is You Pushed Out

But they are not challenges. They are only beliefs. Showing up.
Whatever you see cropping up as a challenge is literally a perfect mirror of a belief, fear, or value you currently have.

Once you shift into your new self concept, these "challenges" will die down.

What To Do About it:

There are really only two ways I am aware of that impact how your reality shows up for you.

  1. ignore evidence of the current reality so beliefs are shooshed and a new one can move in
  2. change subconscious beliefs so the reality shows up differently and in a way you prefer
