Only thing that always fascinates me about water falls, is that where they get the water. Especially when they were located in isolated dense jungle, up above the hills. I happen to visit one such water fall, which is located nearly inside a jungle, and we need to trek down the hill. But it was a fantastic experince.
The place is known as Upper Ghagri Waterfall. Don't go by the name, it was not located on the upper side, but it was located down the hill. We were on top of thebhill need to walk down almost 300 m to reach the spot. It comes out to be a good trekking experience.
"Ghagri” in local rural waord means waterfalls.

It used to be a main tourist spot. Even though it is a small waterfall but is generally visited by a large number of tourists. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forest. A rough road will take us inside. For sure the path would have get muddy owing to too much mud in it. But thanks God we walk down easily.

After walking a distance, we started hearing the water sound. The sound that make us to walk bit faster. We get more excited to get to the spot and enjoy the scenic beauty of the location. But after walking, we seems to lost, as we can see the water area, however there was no way to go down further. After looking we found a narrow passage, with stair made by cutting out the mud.

Finally, after good amount of physical workout and trekking through the sloppy muddy way, we made out to the waterfall. A local person warned us not to go inside, as it was deep. Still we are witnessing a calm and seren place with water noise all around in middle of the jungle.
I was too curious to go inside, but looking at the isolation and noone nearby, we get scared. As it was risky to take bath inside. So best thing we can do is to take pictures. And I did the best by snapping all the surrounding of this natural waterfall.
The waterfall is right in middle of the jungle, and too far away from the city place, any mishappening would mean no one going to track you. So I was too careful with each step.
Last thing to do was to feel the water. As we were very tired with the co Hindus journey, I thought to do face wash with the clean form of water. The water is too Chilled, and clean as it is away from any pollution zone.

Upper Ghaghri Falls is one of the major attractions of Netarhat. It is a very beautiful place situated under the sky amidst a valley filled with waterfalls, where you must visit. If you want to make your trip even more special, then you must visit the Ghaghri waterfall above 4 km from Netarhat. This place is popularly known as a picnic spot. It is fun to have a picnic amidst the natural beauty here.

It was a fantastic trip and memorable place. The sound of water is musical and the peace and serenity and calmness was awesome. We had good little adventure while exploring the place.
