I have decorated today's post with a gourd. Gourd is very useful to our human body. Gourd is a very well known vegetable in many parts of Bangladesh. It can be cultivated in our backyard or on the side of the road. In Bangladesh, under the supervision of the Agricultural Institute, especially the agronomist officers, our marginal farmers are going to have a good idea of how to cultivate gourds.
At the Agricultural Research Institute Regional Horticultural Research Center, we found some gardens of pumpkin trees there for planting pumpkin seeds.
For seeds it is necessary to collect well ripe fruits. The maturity of the fruit can be understood in two ways. E.g.
When you move the fruit, you can hear the sound of seeds inside,
The peel of the fruit will dry and harden but will not dry inside the fruit. In this condition the fruits should be left for 2-3 weeks for post-seed maturation. In order to produce seeds, it is necessary to select a few specific trees from all the trees in the land and select them to control the pollination. That is, the female flowers of the same tree should be pollinated with male flowers of the same tree or the female flowers of another tree should be pollinated with male flowers of the same species. In this case, the male and female flowers should be tied with butter paper bag before flowering so that the male species of other species cannot be pollinated by pollen and in case of flowering, the female flower should be pollinated and the female flower should be tied with the bag again. The fruit should be tied for 3-4 days by this bag.
