Living in the forest I get out every day to enjoy nature and see what scenes I can capture with my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS.
With the change of seasons (we are finally getting some more Spring like temperatures) there has been new developments on our usual route. JJ, the cat, likes to come along with us for our walk-a-bouts now that it's warmer.

Off we go. Bruno is so full of energy and loving life as he romps down the snowy lane. JJ just watches all this bounding around and continues to stroll along.

Once we get to the garage we run into a bit of an obstacle. With the warmer weather starting things melting the snow on the garage roof slide off like an avalanche making a huge mound of snow beside the garage.
JJ was looking for some bare ground to get off the snow so headed down by the door. Bruno stayed up top just looking down the steep slope.

I started to head off to an open area where I can best catch some rays and JJ tried to figure out how he could get to the other end of the mound without climbing out on top of it. He got himself in a bit of trouble!

Once he got out of the deep snow and past the huge mound he looked for another bare patch and found a spot under the spruce tree, He's looking a little disgruntled!

After a run about Bruno comes and joins us in the opening looking up at the sky where a few clouds were floating by.

I found it fascinating how the snow had melted away first where ever there had been some darker material and it make quite pretty designs which I wanted to get a close up of.

While I was kneeling down to take those photos JJ finally found the perfect spot to warm his toes!

Heading back to the house JJ decided just to walk on top of the mound instead of risking falling into the deep snow like before.

Around the house the melting and freezing had made some beautiful icicle displays!

Warmer days was bringing a lot of melting of the snow but quite cold nights turned it into ice.
