Its my youngest daughters 23rd birthday today. With it being the 3rd day of lockdown we can't go out to celebrate so we tried to make her day as good as we could. I told her she can have the TV all day, she's a massive Marvel fan so guess what we are watching Spiderman -Far from Home, Infinity war then End Game.
Me and Nichola baked her birthday cake today, i usually buy it from a cake maker but with the lockdown and virus i thought it would be better if we gave it a go, a little mum and daughter time. I let Nichola decide on what cake and what toppings, i was there to help and to wash up after.
It was time to get the Breville Food Mixer out. (this doesn't come out very often.)
I had to use the Breville as Nichola didn't have a clue, we followed a recipe from an online site. Not sure ours came out as nice as there's but it wa fun making it.
We had finished the cake when i remembered i had bought red food dye, she could have cut out red hearts. We are going to have a slice with a cuppa later on. I think she has enjoyed her day, she got spoiled with presents that her sister Jessica sent through the post as she isn't allowed to come here with the lockdown.
I have had a good day, it's been fun, we are now both going to have a game on Bingo, hopefully she wins and adds a little more to her birthday. I have let her off with most of her chores as i feel sorry for her,she loves a night out, usually she would be out with her friends for a few drinks. Not much fun when your young and locked down, i feel sorry for them all.
