When I saw the theme of this third day of the blogging challenge I immediately remembered an extraordinary lady with whom I shared precious moments, on one occasion she told me a phrase to which I resort in difficult moments. Today I'm going to tell you about my favorite quote.

[Día 3] Frase favorita
[Day 3] Your favorite quote

In 2002 I decided to travel to Trinidad to take an English course. It was the first time I traveled abroad and for the first time I would live outside my home. I remember that the first house where I was placed by the people in charge of the English school was a total disaster, the owner of the house had a daughter with whom I fought a lot, her food did not please me and they made me feel quite uncomfortable.

I had to leave that house and then I arrived at a pretty cool place where a smiling and a loving lady named Tessa welcomed me with open arms. It was a beautiful experience to live in her house, she even made breakfast for us on the weekends for the students who lived there.

At the end of the course, five months later, my classmates returned to Venezuela, I was quite sad one night, I felt a lot of melancholy. Tessa approached me and said: I see that you are twisting your hair, you always do that when something is not right, I told her that I felt very sad because of the absence of my friends, that I missed them a lot. Closing cycles is usually very complicated and at that moment I was culminating a life experience.

It was then when she told me one of the phrases that has become my favorite: This too, shall pass, she comforted me a lot with that phrase, I understood that the pain would pass and that everything would be fine. Until today I had not taken the time to investigate who this quote belonged to and it turns out that it is a Persian adage, a phrase loaded with great wisdom that contains much with so few words.

Unfortunately over the years I lost track of Tessa but I always remember her with great affection, I can still feel the warmth of her words and see her beautiful smile in my memories.
