Cuando hacemos fotografía animal o de la naturaleza, solo el transcurrir de un segundo puede modificar sustancialmente lo que vemos en nuestro encuadre . Incluso, en menos tiempo pasamos de ver un escenario a dejarlo de ver.
When we do animal or nature photography, just the passing of a second can substantially modify what we see in our frame. Even in less time we go from seeing a scene to not seeing it at all.
Estas dos fotos que tomé en La Ciénaga, ubicada en las costas del estado Aragua, en Venezuela, dan cuenta de eso que les hablo.
These two photos I took in La Cienaga, located on the coast of Aragua state, in Venezuela, show what I'm talking about.
Yo ese día, además de hacer mi trabajo retratando los mejores momentos de las personas que viajaron en nuestro full day, estaba a la caza de buenas fotografías de las aves y fauna de aquella paradisíaca playa.
That day, besides doing my job portraying the best moments of the people who traveled on our full day, I was on the hunt for good pictures of the birds and wildlife of that paradisiacal beach.
No fueron muchas las que conseguí, porque uno debe tener mucha suerte y pericia al hacer click y que todo quede perfecto. Además, está el contar con la fortuna de estar a una distancia que permita apreciar bien los detalles de lo que cazas con tu cámara.
I didn't get many, because you must have a lot of luck and skill when clicking and that everything looks perfect. Also, you have to be fortunate enough to be at a distance that allows you to appreciate the details of what you are hunting with your camera.
El tiempo que pasó entre estas dos fotos fueron uno o dos segundos. En la primera foto, el pelicano emprende el vuelo luego de estar flotando en las aguas calmadas y cristalinas del mar de La Ciénaga y percatarse de la cercanía de las personas que estaban sobre el kayak.
The time that passed between these two photos was one or two seconds.In the first photo, the pelican takes flight after floating in the calm and crystalline waters of the sea of La Ciénaga and the bird notices the proximity of the people on the kayak.
En seguida, el ave toma gran velocidad y en el siguiente recuadro ya no se ven los deportistas, sino otra escena totalmente diferente.
Then, the bird picks up speed and in the next frame you can no longer see the kayakers, but a completely different scene.
A pesar de tener la cámara en modo ráfaga, solo pude tomar esas dos mientras el lente corregía su enfoque, eso hace, además de la temperatura del dispositivo, que no siempre las ráfagas salgan a tiempo.
Despite having the camera in burst mode, I could only take those two while the lens was correcting its focus, that makes, in addition to the temperature of the device, that not always the bursts come out on time.
Así que, como ven, las fotos siempre ocultan historias llamativas y lo simple de una imagen esconde técnicas, suerte, y muchos detalles importantes sobre cómo se capturó el frame de una realidad.
So, as you can see, photos always hide striking stories and the simplicity of an image hides techniques, luck, and many important details about how the frame of a reality was captured.
