I joined Steemit in January 2020, when I was 59 years old, looking for a method of earning income from work. I moved completely to Hive in March of the same year, at the time of its launch.
In the beginning, I participated in many contests, wrote, showed pictures, and did many other things.
For the first time in my life, I started drawing and painting, and I discovered that I love it.
It has been 15 months, in which I have dedicated myself exclusively to pictorial art, but I realized that I was stagnant.
Therefore, I moved away from Hive for a while, as I was busy researching various educational alternatives.
In the end, I took a Conceptual Art Course, which lasts a year, under the guidance of a great artist, director of a company that makes films for cinema.
The course started on September 1, 2021, via the internet. With it, I intend to give a qualitative leap to my artistic work. I pay for it with part of the rewards I receive in Hive, for my artworks.
I feel very happy because I have started a new stage of my life and I want to share my learning with all my colleagues in Hive.
From now on, I am going to expose part of the knowledge I receive in this course, and I am going to leave here the tasks I have to perform, together with a brief, but the concise theoretical explanation that supports it.
The idea is that those who wish to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge to improve as visual artists, can take it and implement it.
It is a super practical course, in which we are offered very diverse techniques to advance in the short term.
The first six (6) months will be devoted to learning the basics of art, and the second semester will be dedicated to the creation of works.
I hope that this knowledge and techniques, received from a great artist, can help you as much as it has helped me.
The first thing to take into account is to learn how to draw. It doesn't matter if you are an expert or an apprentice in drawing, all the exercises that I will present are useful to improve your current level, as long as they are repeated over time.
Drawing is the art of converting 3D reality to 2D.
To this end, I will show my first exercise: The Angles.
In this exercise of thousands of repetitions, we have to mark two distant points and draw straight lines in different directions, between them, without lifting the stroke.
You have to do them from left to right, then from right to left. From top to bottom and from bottom to top.
As we become more precise, our next drawings will show better quality.
It seems to be a very simple exercise, but when we start to do them, we notice that it has its difficulty.
Only repetition and permanent practice will give us mastery.
We can all learn to draw if we set our minds to it.
These exercises were made in Photoshop 2017 with my Star 03 V2 XP-PEN Graphic Tablet.

Ingresé a Steemit en enero del 2020, cuando tenía 59 años de edad, buscando un método para obtener ingresos económicos, producto del trabajo. Me mudé por completo a Hive en marzo del mismo año, al momento de su lanzamiento.
Al principio, participé en muchos concursos, escribí, mostré fotografías y muchas otras cosas más.
Por primera vez en mi vida, empecé a dibujar y a pintar, y descubrí que me encanta.
Han pasado 15 meses, en los cuales me he dedicado exclusivamente al arte pictórico, pero me di cuenta de que estaba estancada.
Por eso, me aparté un poco de Hive, pues estuve ocupada investigando entre varias alternativas educativas.
En definitiva, tomé un Curso de Arte Conceptual, que dura un año, de la mano de un gran artista, director de una empresa que hace películas para cine.
El curso inició este 1 de septiembre del 2021, vía internet. Con él pretendo dar un salto cualitativo a mi trabajo artístico. Lo pago con parte de las recompensas que recibo en Hive, por mis obras.
Me siento muy feliz, porque he comenzado una nueva etapa de mi vida y deseo compartir mis aprendizajes con todos mis compañeros de Hive.
A partir de ahora, voy a exponer parte del conocimiento que recibo en este curso, y voy a dejar aquí las tareas que debo realizar, junto a una breve, pero concisa explicación teórica que lo sustenta.
La idea es que quienes deseen obtener conocimientos teóricos y prácticos para mejorar como artistas plásticos, los puedan tomar e implementar.
Se trata de un curso súper práctico, en el cual nos ofrecen técnicas muy diversas para avanzar en el corto plazo.
Los primeros seis (6) meses estarán destinados a aprender los fundamentos del arte, y el segundo semestre, será dedicado a la creación de obras.
Espero que estos conocimientos y técnicas, recibidos de un gran artista, les puedan ayudar, tanto como a mí.
Lo primero a tomar en cuenta es aprender a dibujar. No importa si se es experto o aprendiz de dibujo, todos los ejercicios que presentaré sirven para mejorar el nivel actual, siempre y cuando se repitan en el tiempo.
El dibujo es el arte de convertir la realidad 3D a 2D.
Para ello, mostraré mis primeros ejercicios: Los Ángulos.
En este ejercicio de miles de repeticiones, hay que marcar dos puntos distantes, y trazar líneas rectas en diferentes direcciones, entre ellos, sin levantar el trazo.
Hay que hacerlos de izquierda a derecha, luego de derecha a izquierda. De arriba hacia abajo y de abajo hacia arriba.
En la medida en que tengamos más precisión, nuestros próximos dibujos mostrarán mayor calidad.
Parece un ejercicio muy sencillo, pero cuando nos avocamos a hacerlos, advertimos que tiene su dificultad.
Solo la repetición y la práctica permanentes, nos darán la maestría.
Todos podemos aprender a dibujar, si nos lo proponemos.
Estos ejercicios fueron realizados en Photoshop 2017 con mi Tableta Gráfica Star 03 V2 XP-PEN.
