Hoy es el día mundial de la Tierra y el momento propicio para hablar sobre los cambios climáticos, el impacto sobre la vida del hombre y el ambiente que lo rodea.
Al menos en Venezuela hemos estado palpando los cambios de clima. Nunca había sentido tanto calor como los de ahora. Esta situación, además de incidir sobre la naturaleza también lo hace sobre nosotros mismos y nos pone de mal humor.
Lamentablemente, aún cuesta entender lo que debemos hacer para remediar y revertir esta situación. Falta consciencia, falta gestión, faltan políticas que ayuden a mejorar la situación.
No es la primera vez que escribo sobre un tema como este. No es la primera vez que denuncio el trato inhumano que le damos a la naturaleza. Nos anclamos en las quejas pero seguimos actuando siempre del mismo modo.

At least in Venezuela we have been feeling the climate changes. We have never felt so much heat as we do now. This situation, besides affecting nature, also affects us and puts us in a bad mood.
Unfortunately, it is still difficult to understand what we must do to remedy and reverse this situation. There is a lack of awareness, a lack of management, a lack of policies to help improve the situation.
It is not the first time I write about a subject like this. It is not the first time I denounce the inhumane treatment we give to nature. We anchor ourselves in complaints but we continue to act in the same way.
En mis diarios recorridos por las montañas logro observar cosas que me dejan con la quijada en el suelo. Todo ha cambiado incluyendo el modo de vida de los animales.
Hace unos días caminaba con mi nieto y entre una de sus tantas preguntas decía: ¿Qué comen los pájaros abuela? La pregunta surge luego de ver un grupo de aves (azulejos, tortolitas y periquitos) comiendo de la basura.
Los pájaros se alimentan de insectos. Quizá pueden encontrar gusanos, pero también otro tipo de desperdicios no aptos para su consumo.
¡Increíble! ¿Cuál creen es el problema? ¿Se está rompiendo la cadena alimenticia por la extinción de anímales? Sí, para mí esto es algo que viene sucediendo desde hace tiempo.

Cada vez son menos las especies que resisten tantos daños. Cada vez estamos más cerca de lo que pudiese ser un caos terrenal. Entre altas y bajas temperaturas nos iremos moviendo para tratar de sobrevivir.
Desee hace unos cuantos años atrás se viene pronosticando que las temperaturas seguirán aumentando, cada vez estaremos más alejándo del clima al que estamos todos acostumbrados.
