Hola, hola mis pequeños, espero se encuentren muy bien. El día de hoy les mostraré una ilustración que hice por encargo y que tiene una historia muy especial. Hace un par de días me contacto Lili, una amiga que ya tenía mucho tiempo de no saber de ella.
Lili y yo fuimos juntas en la escuela primaria y siento bonito poder seguir teniendo contacto. Después de platicar un ratito y ponernos al corriente sobre nuestras vidas, Lili me comento que había visto mi trabajo y le interesaba una ilustración de su perrita Cometa, la cual falleció hace poco después de pasar 15 años como su mejor amiga y compañera.
También me contó como conoció a Cometa: Su papá trabajaba en un hospital y empezó a ver a la perrita y darle de comer hasta que un día decidió subirla a su carro y llevarla a casa y al llegar se la dio a Lili. Cometa tenía 3 meses, así que era una bebé todavía.
En palabras de Lili:
Mi papá la rescató de la calle y la llevó a la casa, llegó de repente a iluminar mi vida.
Eso es amor puro, adoptar a un animalito es uno de los actos más desinteresados, quien lo haya hecho sabrá de lo que hablo. Me encantó la idea de poder inmortalizar en una caricatura la esencia de Cometa y Lili. Les comparto las imágenes de referencia y como fue el proceso.
Con mucho amor y cariño para ti Lili, estoy segura de que Cometa siempre estará contigo y te seguirá iluminando con todos los recuerdos que te dejo en el tiempo que duró su vida a tu lado.

Hello, hello, my little ones. I hope you are doing well. Today I will show you an illustration that I made by order, and that has a very special story. A couple of days ago, I was contacted by Lili, a friend I hadn't heard from for a long time.
Lili and I were in elementary school together, and it feels nice to keep in touch. After chatting for a while and catching up on our lives, Lili told me that she had seen my work and was interested in an illustration of her dog named Cometa, who passed away recently after spending 15 years as her best friend and companion.
She also told me how she met Cometa: Her dad worked in a hospital and started to see the dog and feed her until one day he decided to put her in his car and take her home, and when he arrived, he gave her to Lili. Cometa was 3 months old, so she was still a baby.
In Lili's words:
Well, my dad rescued her from the street and brought her home. She suddenly came to brighten my life.
That is pure love. Adopting an animal is one of the most selfless acts, anyone who has done it will know what I'm talking about. I loved the idea of being able to immortalize in a cartoon the essence of Cometa and Lili. I will share with you the reference images and how the process went.
