Dots - Light Painting Photography on Hive

Hello everyone,

the situation is still the same here in Germany (Lockdown till 14th. February). This means that there is still plenty of time to explore the limitless world of light. 😎

This is a combination of camera rotation with a circular blade and a stencil. As a stencil I used the holes of a tea strainer with a macro lens (40 mm). Lensswap to the Samyang 14 mm for the rotation (8x45 degrees).

f/10 | ISO 100 | 304 sec. exposure time

The image was taken in several steps, during a longexposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing. No photoshop!

I wish you a continued happy lockdown. Use the time and do the things you enjoy and that make you happy. Stay healthy and I hope that personal contact will soon be possible again, because I miss that very much.

Stepko 😎

What is Light Painting Photography?

Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
