Lightpainting colours to make your eyes bleed

One of the challenges with lightpainting is coming up with something new and especially with regards to colour. So often I see primary colours, red, yellow and blue and combinations thereof but nothing new or unusual. This is a post where colour is a dominant feature and I've tried to be different.

Hanging around in a lime kiln

This is an old lime kiln in a derelict refactories manufacturing facility where I've used a yellow / green filter gel from packaging material:

Colours to make your eyes bleed

Hanging around an abandoned factory with a model and smoke grenades where I've mixed the colours with various light sources:

Evasive Maneuovres

Using a custom made filter box over a flashgun with individual filter gels makes for an interesting background when mixed with a little kinetic movement:

Setting a custom white balance

On my Sony camera I can create a custom white balance where I can programme the camera to fool it in thinking white is a different colour. This is the result, although green is still green wierdly....

About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
