Birds, nature and a lovely old car.

Now what could birds, nature and an old car have in common?

This guy, a Southern Double-collared sunbird came to say goodbye as we left.

I will show you the answer in this post, so come and take a drive with us.
About a week ago, we parked our car in a public parking space and when we returned there was a note on the front window of the car.
The note read that as a person in a car next to ours opened her door and the wind ripped the door out of her hand, smashing it into our car.
He left a phone number and we thanked him for his honesty, which is very rare here. So he asked me to get some repair quotations for his car insurance.

This was our signal that the rain was gone and the sun up, so we left.

We arrived at the panel repair shop and the owners car stole my heart.

A genuine 1933 Chevrolet, with a big V8 engine.
The little yellow ring is to show you where the driver could insert a hand-wind lever to start the engine on cold days.

Then we took a beach front road back home and I could get some shots of the ocean.

Here we had a Tern hunting for a fish meal.

Finally as we opened up the doors back home, a local nut inspector arrived.

Never a dull moment here as they say and we love to turn our travels into adventures, Most of my posts are written in a light hearted and positive vein as there are so many troubles in life that we all have to face.
So, we hope that you have enjoyed this one and thank you for taking a drive with us.
