Elvis - The Muscovy duck

Hello feathered friends.

Today I'll share with you a few pictures of the Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata).

So let's meet Elvis. He walks freely through the streets in search of food. He is an example of a domesticated Muscovy duck.

The Muscovy duck is native to North and South America. It is a tropical bird but can adapt to cooler climates.

In nature, it is always in black, while domesticated can be found in many other colors, such as white, black and white (just like Elvis), gray, etc.

It is characterized by red epidermal warty growths on the face and around the eyes with glands that secrete sebaceous secretion, which smells like musk.

The Muscovy duck has slightly longer feathers on its head that can be raised if disturbed.
