We have a large clearing between the forest and the river. You can often see various birds on it, which are always looking for food there. A lot of grass and small shrubs grow in the clearing. Therefore, there are many animals of all kinds. Birds know this good place and always come here in flocks. Today I met a flock of sparrows in this meadow. They jumped among the grass and it was clear that there was enough food for them. Individual sparrows separated from the flock and began to look for food among the thick grass. They probably thought there were more insects for them to eat.
The other sparrows remained in their flock and together they jumped on the low grass. It seemed that they were looking for food for themselves since the weather was fine and all the insects crawled out to bask in the sun.
Of course, you couldn't get close to them. They did not fly away, but they constantly jumped away as soon as I tried to get closer to them. The area was completely open and there was nowhere to hide. Therefore, I had to stand in one place for a long time so as not to frighten them away.
Since the sparrows did not sit in one place, but constantly moved, they had to catch the moment when they stopped to photograph them. Of course I had to spend a lot of time. However, with great difficulty, several photographs were taken.
It is much easier to photograph sparrows in the city. They often sit on objects and sit motionless for a while. I hope that next time I will be more fortunate and will be able to take good pictures.
