Wood sandpiper living at a small pond

There are several small ponds at the swamp lands of the Danube river, and these are probably very good places for some bird photography. The water there is not that beautiful, and it is most of the time covered with alga. But birds and insects love these places, and therefore it is a nice place for some bird photography. Last summer, I was able to take these pictures of the wood sandpiper that is living there during the summer. It was pretty hard to spot because it has a nice camouflage color.

Next early summer I want to visit this place for some bird photography again but also in Spring, I hope I have enough time to visit all the places I want to, but I already know that this probably won't be the case.
