Baby Swan with Parents

Last weekend I visited the wetlands of the Inn River for some bird photography. There I also found a Swan family with a cute little baby swan. The Parents were very protective of their child and we where lucky to watch them from the bridge some meters above them. This way the parents could stay calm and didn't have to fear that we get too close. But it was funny how they scared away ducks and other birds that came to close to their little baby. Because they are used to the fact that a lot of people visit the little bridge they didn't bother all the bycicle drives and us as photographers watching them.

I think with their white color and relatively big appearance, Swans are very beautiful birds, and I am always very happy to see one. But I don't like the people feeding them rubbish like bread and other unnatural food on the lakes and rivers. People often think they do them something good when feeding them but wild animals should not be fed at all. They find their own food that is more natural not so dangerous like bread.

Bread can kill birds like swans and ducks because it can swell up in the stomachs of the birds and make them explode. So please don't feed them bread. Please don't feed wild animals at all because they can find their own food that is much better for them anyways.
