Breakfast at a restaurant with a pool
When you turn 71 - it should be just another birthday. My children however, spoilt me by taking me away for the weekend.
First they invited me over to dinner on Friday night and my daughter Les (Jack's wife) made me a delicious cheesecake - my favourite.
Cheesecake is definitely one of my favourites
On Saturday morning (the day of my birthday) we set out at about 8.30 in the morning and left for Proteras (which is just further away from Ayia Napa)
We stopped at a restaurant called Blue Spice. Les and I had the poached eggs on a slice of village bread with avocado. One of the nicest breakfasts I've had in a long time.

The bread was also incredibly fresh. Yum
Jack had an English Breakfast which he said was great.
One of Eden's nicknames is Eggy and I saw they had a French Toast named Eggy on the menu. Awww

We had two swims there. The water was not as cool as I would have liked because we are still in the heatwave.

We left and popped into Lidl to pick up a few groceries.
We arrived at our lovely villa - the air conditioning had been put on so it was lovely and cool inside the apartment.
The apartment consisted of 2 double rooms each with its own bathroom. Talk about being spoiled.
My dressing table - now using as a desk with my laptop
My bed - very luxurious

For lunch we had a bread board with sliced french loaf, crackers, salami, cheese, grapes and peach - and a plate with prawns and calamari leftovers from Friday nights dinner.
I Will add photographs in my next post (still on Jack's camera)
At an Italian restaurant recommended by Eden
The restaurant is called De Medici
Pictures of the food are also still on Jack's camera so will add to my next post - guess I'll need a part 2.
Dinner was superb. They came and sang Happy Birthday to me.

This was surely one my best birthday memories. Just missing Lee and Eden.
