Another week and another topic to get into this showcase. This time the topic is Immensity. My try on this was a cheap shot. I have to admit it. But love is immense and this song is about the vastness of unrequited love. It lyrics talk about beautiful eyes, waiting for an answer and make comparison with birdsong and grey clouds. It is a poem on itself. The music is the perfect match to these lyrics as it boosts the sad tone of the piece with more complexity than traditional Venezuelan Waltzes. This is the reason why this piece has International recognition as it is not only beautiful, but quite hard to sing well.

Composed by José "Pollo" Sifontes and popularized by Gualberto Ibarreto, this song has since been performed by many Venezuelan artists in different stages. You can look it up in YouTube and find many versions of it. Each one of them are as good as the other. I hope this version reaches that high bar. This arrangement I'm playing is a reduction of one based on the original sung by Gualberto. The name of the arranger is Luis G. Montiel A.

Otra semana y otro tema en este escenario. El de esta semana es Inmesidad. Puedo decir que mi elección fue un poco simple. Pero el amor es inmeso y esta canción es sobre la inmensidad del amor no correspondido. Su letra habla de esto y hace comparación hermosas dignas de un poema. También posee una música compleja que difiere un poco de los valses tradicionales venezolanos. Por esta razón, tiene reconocimiento internacional, no solo por su belleza, sino por la difícil que es cantarla bien.

Fue compues por José "Pollo" Sifontes y popularizada por Gualberto Ibarreto. Desde entonces, esta canción ha sido cantada por muchos artistas Venezolanos en escenarios diferentes. Solo basta buscar en YouTube para encontrar numerosas versiones. Cada una de ella igual de buena que la anterior. Espero que este cover pueda llegar a ese nivel tan alto.
