Volcan Osorno at Different Times & Angles | 火山

vo-16.jpg

I used to live in Chile where volcanoes are a common sight. The country has the second-largest chain of volcanoes in the world after Indonesia. Today let me show you the Osorno Volcano from different angles and at different times of the day. It's also my entry to the Stock Images Contest. Hopefully, one of my images here can be used to represent the letter V. :)

Standing at around 2,660 metres tall, the Osorno Volcano is on the southeastern shore of Llanquihue Lake in southern Chile. I took these photos from multiple spots in the Los Lagos Region, and as you can see, the lights and colours are also different. Think: 36 Views of Mount Fuji by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. =)

Some actually call Osorno the Fuji mountain of Chile due to its almost perfect conical shape. This beautiful volcano is omnipresent in the whole lake region, and I hiked to Petrohue Waterfalls where you can get close-up views together with the rushing flow in front.
