Shinhotaka Onsen in Autumn ♨🍁| 秋日温泉

Hi Hivers, in this post I'm going to show you the stunning Shinhotaka-no-yu of Japan in autumn time,by a group of photos I took there.

It was the beginning of November when it's getting pretty cold high in the mountains, with heavy snowfall in some parts already. I could get down to this hot spring that day right before it's closed for the season, but it's too late to do a bath there. The shimmering turquoise water surrounded by rocks and fiery red maple trees was simply breathtaking.

The weather was changing fast, with a strong blast of wind from time to time. When the weak sun came out from behind the clouds, the leaves and water were being wrapped in a warmer ray and looked transparent. The whole scene was so fantastic! I had to tell myself that this was a real landscape...

Since I have tried hot spring baths nearby, just looking at this beautiful view is good enough for me. If you want to dip into this pool in the future, bear in mind that it's closed from the beginning of November until the end of April each year for the snowy season, so plan in advance.

From here, you can also see the double-decker gondola of Shinhotaka Ropeway slowly sliding in the sky, and the Kamikochi Valley nearby boasts amazing views too. I will blog about the hikes there in my future posts.

Shinhotaka Onsen sits at a high elevation in Japan's Northern Alps, with a variety of baths to choose from, such as this public Shinhotaka-no-yu and some other hotel ones. If you take public transportation, this onsen town can be reached by bus from JR Takayama Station.

这次的照片是秋天在日本拍的新穗高の湯温泉,景色太美,不用我多说,请看图。=)
