HI FROM HIVE: MY JOURNEY SO FAR

Hi, my name is Blessing, username: @blezyn. I thought it would be nice to start with a short introduction. My journey on Hive started about 7 months ago. I created my account months before I started posting but I didn't even log in after creating it.

I started Hive with a lot of uncertainty about how my experience will be. One of my biggest fears has been putting myself out there, so I stay in the shadows. Plus I'm not a good writer, what will a person like me be doing on a platform that's centred around blogging?

@nonsowrites had been trying to get me to join for a long while but I was adamant. Mostly because I was scared I'll fail at it and I hate to fail, so I stayed away. If I hadn't lost my job in February this year, I think I would still not be here today.

I don't think I'm the only one but there's this false sense of security that comes with having a job and if you don't move outside that circle and experience another world, one will never realize how much one is being trapped. At least I was that person.

I joined Hive with so many uncertainties about how it would go and I was totally blown away by the experience here. I mean I'm not one to get comfortable with social media or crypto, so there's no way I would have thought I'll have so much fun in a space like this.

First, the welcome was top-notch! A lot of people were willing to put me through with things I wasn't familiar with. I discovered some awesome communities with awesome people!

First was the needlework community which is great for me since I do a lot of needlework. Thanks to @crosheille, @lauramica, @kattycrochet, @wolfofnostreet and others for making my experience wonderful so far.Needlework has been so supportive of me and it's part of the reason I'm still here today.

POB community came not so long after and then came POB talk, which has also been a fun experience interacting with great people like @vikbuddy, @mineopoly, @jersteemit and a host of others. I can't name everyone who has made my journey awesome but I sincerely appreciate every single one of you.

I started with being someone who couldn't articulate her thoughts and write them down, now I'm not still a great writer but at least I can put some things down in my own words. Never would I have thought that would be possible. I have @nonsowrites to thank for the constant encouragement and the entire Hive community for their constant support.

Hive has helped me unlock a part of myself I didn't know existed. Before now, I couldn't hold a conversation with a lot of people. Over here I find many people I'm able to have decent conversations with, which has in a way helped build my overall confidence.

One thing I admire about the Hive community is that it provides an enabling environment. Everyone, regardless of their position, is given the proper avenue to grow both financially and Personally. There's so much to learn and so many great people to learn from.

My growth on Hive has been exponential. The journey has been blissful so far. I can't predict the future but I know when it comes to Hive, it can only get better! I'm excited about the journey ahead.
