Courtyard spaces. Elevator street

There are places in Vologda that do not belong to any microdistrict. Some residential buildings are located right in the middle of an industrial area. So it used to be convenient to get home from work.

These houses were apparently built for the workers of the huge elevator of the Vologda grain-processing plant.

It is quite quiet and cozy here.

While walking with a camera, I managed to get to know a local resident. He says he really likes this place.

He was waiting for a taxi. He needed to get to another part of the city, where he forgot the keys to the apartment. But it was not possible to call a taxi.

I believe that the main disadvantage of this place is its remoteness from the residential area. You can't even call a taxi here!

I had to help out a man so that he could get to the house.

Such places are not very interesting to shoot, as there are very few objects here.

But even here you can find something interesting.

A little to the side there is another residential quarter, consisting of three houses: one brick three-storey and two wooden two-storey apartment-type barracks.

There is a little more space here than in an urban environment - you can afford a vegetable garden.

It seemed to me even more comfortable here than in the previous place.

City dwellers can only dream of such a free yard space.

But the houses are, I would even say, adjacent to the oil depot.

Neighborhood with such a dangerous object probably annoys some residents of this quarter.

Based on the location, we can conclude that this quarter was built for the workers of the oil depot.

It is clear that now far from the workers of the enterprise live here.

All this happened in the distant Soviet years...
