Hola abejitas!!

Hello beep! I hope you are all very well on this day Monday, start of the week, very cold around here on the Golden Coast of Uruguay, but luckily we do not have the extra-tropical cyclone that whipped us all day yesterday with wind bursts More than 80 kilometers per hour, which caused the temperature at 2° centigrade, and it is expected to go down even more. It is estimated that water-snow and / or graupel will fall, which are very small snowballs, less than 5 millimeters in diameter that paint all the white landscape in the crude winters.

Today I come to tell you and bring them material from when it was more active with makeup, one of my passions from a very girl. I tell you that when I was about 4 years old at the time of nap, when everyone was sleeping after lunch, I hid in the bathroom and stole my mom and grandmother's makeup and played to parade on the walkway (the hallway From my grandmother's house) with her skirts that put me in dress, with her necklaces, earrings and taco taco shoes. I was the first of 5 brothers, and when I was not with my cousins, I had to have fun with something, that was my best pastime, go to the bathroom and make up. At this moment I do not have at hand, photos of those times, but I promise that if I find some day I will upload them.

Make up on one of the trips we did with the O'Bahia comparsa to the interior of the country // Maquillando en uno de los viajes que hacíamos con la comparsa O´Bahia al interior del país

Over the years the makeup was gaining prominence in my life for different circumstances, at first it was a hobby that was doing when I was in my house and it was weekend but I was not going out with my friends, then I took advantage and tested me different makeups. At that time (1998-2001) time of my high school, we did not have cell phones or devices to be taking pictures, so I do not have much record.

My passion followed but it had never occurred to me to study or make some course or workshop, only make up my friends when we went out to dance. At 22 years old I did an accelerated social and artistic makeup course with Gervasio Larrivey, makeup icon in Gualeguaychú and the world, although it helped me learn a lot, I did not start doing it at that moment as a job because it had other responsibilities. But when I was 26 years old I found out an artistic makeup workshop who dictated Ricardo "Galician" Urbini, a carnival and theater icon in Gualeguaychú and Entre Ríos. The workshop was going to dictate it in Eppur Si Muove, a cultural space of my city and in which my sister Mariana @amaranto was dictating a course of photography that I also attended.

In that workshop I learned different techniques and styles, I learned to place stones and feathers, accessories that decorate a makeup, I learned tricks and tips that facilitate things, it was a beautiful workshop that lasted 10 months and I enjoyed it very much, it is until today I have contact with some of my colleagues and with my teacher, beautiful people all.

A month that I finished the workshop classes, a callut of makeup artists were made for the artistic makeup of the O'Bahía Fishermen's Club of my city, I found out about Romi, a friend and namesake with which we share this love By makeup and she was already part of the makeup staff of the comparsa a few years ago. So imagine that I went and know what? Yes, I was selected by my work and ability, that said the jury. I was the first one who finished the order made, and they assigned me another artistic work that I also finished in a short time and with prolix and innovation, and that was what made me get my position.

Performing my work on one of the trips with the comparsa o'bahia // Realizando mis labores en uno de los viajes con la comparsa O´Bahia

Y espero volver a repetirlo algún día.

I have thousands of memories and anecdotes very fun with the beautiful people of O'Bahia. I thank the managers to have given the opportunity to work for them and continue calling me every year, although they knew that I was traveling around the world, they consulted me the same if I wanted to work that summer for them, that is something I value a lot. Neither talk about the members, people from a huge heart and very sense of humor, it was amazing how we had fun with everyone, all the time, a lot of good energy, a lot of good vibes and a lot of love for the comparsa. We even organized roasted during the year, longing for summer to come again, telling stories, very nice "comparser meetings" shared with them. And I hope to repeat it again.

I also left you on the way some travel photos we made with the guys from the comparsa, a parade was in Avellaneda (I'm dressed in Rosa Rosa and Broken Jeans) and the other in La Plata in the city of children (I'm T-shirt Camel and black skirt).
