El día de hoy les traigo un pequeño pero útil pictorial (tutorial con fotos) de como saco / depilo mis cejas usan el temido perfilador. Generalmente se considera que la epilación (arrancar el vello desde la raíz, con materiales como cera) es el mejor y más efectivo método en contra de esos pelitos que nos molestan, y aunque tiene su parte de razón, desde hace un tiempo le agarré miedo por 2 razones:

  1. La cera me estaba dejando manchas en la piel

  2. Vi un video en el que decía que una banda de cera mal arrancada puede generar un desprendimiento de retina, cosa que puedo decir que sea 100% real, pero yo prefiero no correr el riesgo.

Así que comencemos:

Today I bring you a small but useful pictorial (tutorial with photos) on how I pluck my eyebrows using the dreaded eyebrow liner. It is generally considered that epilation (plucking the hair from the root, with materials such as wax) is the best and most effective method against those little hairs that bother us, and although it has its part of reason, for some time I was afraid of it for 2 reasons:

  1. The wax was leaving stains on my skin.

  2. I saw a video in which it said that a badly removed wax strip can generate a retinal detachment, which I can say is 100% real, but I prefer not to take the risk.


So let's get started:

MATERIALES | MATERIALS

  • Perfilador u hojilla
  • Pomada de cejas (Si tienes lápiz o sombra también sirve)
  • Pincel angular
  • Regla
  • Cepillo para cejas
    Extra: Si tu piel es algo sensible deberías usar un poco de serúm o crema para cuidarla de daños
  • Eyebrow pencil or blade
  • Eyebrow pomade (if you have a pencil or shadow, it also works)
  • Angled brush
  • Ruler
  • Eyebrow brush
    Extra: If your skin is sensitive you should use a little serum or cream to protect it from damage.

PROCEDIMIENTO | PROCEDURE

Lo primero que debemos hacer es peinar nuestras cejas para darles forma, asi se nos hará un poco más fácil el siguiente paso
The first thing to do is to comb our eyebrows to give them shape, this will make the next step a little easier.

Ahora que nuestras cejas están peinadas tomaremos nuestra regla, para marcar:
  • Inicio: Ubicamos la regla a nivel de la aleta de nuestra nariz hasta nuestra ceja, y haremos una marca con nuestra pomada y pincel
Now that our eyebrows are combed we will take our ruler, to mark:
  • Start: We place the ruler at the level of our nose flap up to our eyebrow, and we will make a mark with our pomade and brush.

  • Arco: el punto mas alto de nuestra ceja, para esto debes fijarte de la formas que tus pelitos te dan, recuerda que todo es de acuerdo a la cantidad que tengas. Colocamos la regla desde la aleta de nuestra nariz, pasando por nuestra pupila y hasta donde nos indiquen nuestros pelitos
  • Arch: the highest point of our eyebrow, for this you should look at the shapes that your hairs give you, remember that everything is according to the amount you have. We place the ruler from the flap of our nose, passing through our pupil and up to where our hairs indicate us.

  • Final: Se supone que deberíamos colocar la regla desde la aleta de nuestra nariz hasta donde termina nuestro ojo/ donde termina la linea de la ceja, pero realmente no siempre nuestra ceja llega hasta ahi (como en mi caso) entonces lo realista seria colocar nuestra regla desde la aleta de la nariz hasta donde termina el vello de nuestra ceja.
  • End: We are supposed to place the ruler from the tip of our nose to where our eye ends/eyebrow line ends, but actually our eyebrow doesn't always go that far (as in my case) so realistically we should place our ruler from the tip of our nose to where our eyebrow hair ends.

COMO DEBERÍA HACERSE / COMO LO HAGO POR EL LARGO DE MI CEJA
HOW SHOULD IT BE DONE / HOW DO I DO IT FOR THE LENGTH OF MY EYEBROW?

Ahora unimos los puntos tanto arriba como abajo, se verá un poco extraño, pero es muy útil para conseguir la forma de tu ceja.


NOTA: Intenta que cada punto sea lo suficientemente largo como para que puedas unirlos, sino, en la parte de abajo se te complicará conseguir la forma.

Now we join the stitches both above and below, it will look a bit strange, but it is very useful to get the shape of your eyebrow.


NOTE: Try to make each stitch long enough so that you can join them together, otherwise, at the bottom it will be difficult to get the shape.

Ya que tenemos nuestra forma marcada, toca comenzar a retirar el vello con el perfilador u hojilla, que se encuentre fuera de estas lineas, hazlo con cuidado para que no te cortes o lastimes. Yo estilo un poco la piel con una mano, mientras voy pasando el perfilador con la otra.
Now that we have our shape marked, it's time to start removing the hairs with the liner or blade, which is outside these lines, do it carefully so you don't cut or hurt yourself. I style the skin a little with one hand, while I go through the liner with the other.

También hice el procedimiento con un corrector blanco para que lo visualicen mejor. Tu escoge el material que se te haga mas cómodo y te de mejor visibilidad.
I also did the procedure with a white corrector for better visualization. You choose the material that is most comfortable for you and gives you the best visibility.
