fender tweed 5e3 clon!

this time I want to show you my fender tweed 57 clone, I know it's not something about motors, but mechanics and electronics go hand in hand!

the fender tweed is a mythical amp from the late 50's, created by mr. I read fender to amplify his electric guitars that were already on the rise.

building take the original diagram I have used very old parts that I rescued from my grandfather's basement, luckily everything was in good condition and working.

use for the preamplifier 2 tubes 12ax7. for the 2 tube 6v6 amplifier. and for the rectifier a 5y3.

I have wired everything by hand and set point to point as it was done in those years!

Everything as indicated in the diagram, after assembly I wanted to give it more volume and decided to make a modification, this mod, requires a change of valves and transformers, (the 2 to be exact) so: I replaced the 6v6 valves with a 6L6, and the 5Y3 rectifier, with a gz34, leave b of pre intact, this mod, widens the headroom and increases the volume significantly, I plan to add a switch to change from 6v6 to 6L6 valves, for this I have added a 270ohm / 15w resistor to support the load of the 6L6 valves, most of the components are old and recycled!
