Cophinopod chinensis - Robber Fly

This is a robber fly that was taken by me, close to a swamp in my town. I think this is a Cophinopod chinensis classified into the Asilidae species. The Cophinopoda genus are large robber flies compared to other genera in the Asilidae, although their physical appearance isn't much different and they are known as assassin flies that often prey on insects such as grasshoppers, dragonflies, and several species of small wasps.
