Flesh Fly (Sarcophagidae)

Flesh fly is a very common fly that is usually found around the garden. Although it is a common insect, this fly often tempted me to take a shot. Especially, when I found out that it has gray bodies with the strip on the thorax which come out a stunning appearance. If we look closer, we will clearly see that the flesh fly abdomen is light and dark gray checkerboard pattern and is often red at the tip. Flesh fly stays under the family Sarcophagidae, in the order Diptera.
