Hello fam, it's your favourite artist once again. I hope you're staying strong through these tough times? I've been trying to stay focused and in that light I'd like to share what has been one of the highlights of year so far, one of the experiences that has motivated to keep going strong in this path I've chosen.
I was opportuned to work with the staff of NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) head office, Lagos to make this beautiful portrait for their director, William Effiok. This was to mark his 60th birthday/retirement from office. It is the biggest I've done so far both in size and relevance.
Before the glory was the work, it took a lot of doing. It was a 44x30 piece and so I needed to set apart a lot of time for it. I used a mixture of pastel chalks, charcoal and coloured pencils to achieve this portrait. I'll highlight the whole process with a couple of progress shots...
Like I said earlier, this was a huge one for me and I hope it marks the beginning of my best year ever. The delivery was an experience on its own, I got go meet a couple new people and learn for different experiences shared. One for the books!
Here's a couple more pictures from the event...
I also made a fun video of the entire process from drawing to delivery...watch it here 👇🏾and please subscribe to my channel
Thanks for stopping by, it means a lot.
