More hooters on hive

Hello and good morning all,
Today's peakd post will be this owl bench I carved for a good customer last fall.

It seats 3 comfortably.
I started out with one large log and split it in half vertically.

Some detailing with the saw to tidy up...

Next was to fit the seat and backrest..

Had to bring them inside because it started to rain...

The next day I brought them back out and finished up with contouring the ends as well as burning and sanding. They were ready for paint and varnish.
