I will be honest, this is the first year I planted lettuce in the Fall garden. And I have to say I am impressed with how well the lettuce is doing so far.

In fact, I have been so impressed that I planted some more in another container. The variety I planted never forms a head so I just go an pick the outer leaves very other day for a good start to a dinner salad.

So there you have what should be the last of the Summer garden peppers and two small tomatoes. I pulled the pepper plants this week end to make way for the lettuce.

I intended to pull the tomato plants as well, but there these two fellas were still on the vine. I am not sure if these will ever ripen but waste not want not, that is what I say.

Have you ever held off pulling up plants, just in case there might just be one more veggie????

I planted a few more cabbages in the "green grow bags" which is part of my latest garden experiment.

Lastly, I planted another set of leeks.

So that is it from the @handofzara garden.

Dinner Time! Alright so not exactly "dinner" but a nice start to a salad.

What are your plans for the Fall Garden?
