While giving Ninnu her afternoon walk today, Vera and I found these bright orange mushrooms in the forest, and wondered what they were. They seemed to belong to the milk-caps. (Lactarius, "rousku" in Finnish)

Turned out they were called "oranssirousku", apparently named that way because of their bright orange colour.

We also found some terracotta hedgehogs (Hydnum rufescens, "rusko-orakas" in Finnish) and a largeish wood hedgehog (Hydnum repandum, "vaaleaorakas" in Finnish).

I had already bought some chanterelles from the grocery earlier, so we decided to make soup.

It was quite delicious.
