After my dislike for the Kettle Chips Sour Cream & Sweet Onion, I decided to give something else a whirl. I love chorizo sausage and I love salsa, so when I saw the two combined into a bag of crisps, I knew I had to try them.
Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Chorizo Salsa Crisps
"Hand cooked ridge cut potato crisps with chorizo and tomato salsa flavour seasoning."
After tearing open the bag, I looked into the pack. Yep, they looked good. I took a big sniff too. Well they didn’t smell much of chorizo or salsa. I took out a few of the crisps and started munching on them one by one. Well there really wasn’t much chorizo flavour at all. The taste of these crisps was more of a heavy listing of spices without the meatiness of the chorizo. There was a bit of a tomato taste there, but not what I would call salsa. I have had salsa flavoured crisps before and this didn’t come close. Nor did it have the warming Spanish sausage flavour I was expecting. These were quite salty too.
Not again! Another bag of crisps that I thought I would like but didn’t. Very disappointed with these. Something screams at me not to get limited edition crisps anymore. Both of the KFC ones were horrible and this one too. I think I might have to go back to what I know crisp wise, or just pure and simply ”Go back to chocolate!!’
