Over the last two days I have told you about the Pizza Hut takeaway I had at the weekend. The Nacho Cheese Stuffed Crust Supreme and The Nacho Cheese Stuffed Crust Chicken Fajita With Jalapeño . You can’t have fast food without a side dish, so I went for the Fajita Chicken Chunks.
Pizza Hut - Fajita Chicken Chunks
7 succulent chunks of chicken breast in a delicious Fajita-style crispy breadcrumb and tortilla coating. Served with a Sour Cream & Chive dip.
Both my husband and I had a box each. I picked the right one as I had 8 pieces in mine! Makes a change to have one more. The chicken was coated in seasoned breadcrumb as describes, but it wasn’t crispy. The coating was nice, but it was pretty moist. I don't know if that’s because the chicken was steaming in the box or what. The flavour was nice though. These are described as mild, but they were a bit too mild, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like heat. Good for the kids I suppose. The chicken was very moist and succulent. I had this with their sour cream and chive dip. I did order on the side some BBQ too. I actually liked this with the BBQ dip more because the BBQ dip had a kick to it. It definitely had some heat in it and I think this really enhanced the whole experience of the chicken chunk.
I would have them again, but it would be nice to see what they are like crispy. They could add a bit more seasoning too. As I said it was nice, but if this is supposed to have a Mexican Fajita flavour, then I definitely would expect a bit more flavour wise. Still nice though. I would have been hugely disappointed if they turned up dry, but they were really juicy pieces of chicken.
