After yesterday’s Caramel Sensation, I wanted to tell you about their other one, the Salted Caramel Delight.

”Hand dipped in milk chocolate, made with Salted Caramel Matchmaker nibs and a Matchmaker!”
Of course Krispy Kreme had to do a ring donut didn’t they? Well the top of this one was covered in a thick milk chocolate topping. It had tiny pieces of salted caramel Matchmakers on top and it had a light salted caramel drizzle too. The chocolate wasn’t very chocolatey. It was definitely made with cheap, confectionary chocolate. It barely had any chocolate flavour. The tiny pieces of salted caramel Matchmakers were ok, but nothing to ride home about. I can’t really say the donut itself was all that either. It wasn’t as fluffy and light as what you would expect from an Original Glazed. Assuming it was an Original Glaze base. The best thing about this donut was the whole salted caramel Matchmaker on top. I’m surprised that managed to stay in one piece!
Krispy Kreme have had a lot of chocolate donuts recently and a lot of caramel / salted caramel ones too. This one doesn’t come close to the Caramel Sensation I had. I personally wouldn’t bother with this one. I would say you’re better off buying a box of Salted Caramel Matchmakers instead, and if you really want a donut, get something completely different or just get an Original Glazed. Pretty disappointing as it looks really chocolatey, but it really wasn’t. Krispy Kreme would have been better off just sticking to the Caramel Sensation.
