I have the third donut from Krispy Kreme’s Halloween 2020 range. Today I have Spooky Sprinkles.

Every year I’m sure Krispy Kreme bring out Spooky Sprinkles. There isn’t much to say about this one. Yes, it’s an Original Glazed ring with chocolate icing and orange, green, blue and black hundreds and thousands. I thought this donut was going to be quite chocolatey from the description where it says it’s buried in chocolate icing. Firstly, buried to me means the donut is surrounded by chocolate icing. This only had a layer on top of the donut. The sprinkles gave the donut a crunch, but to be honest the icing didn’t have much chocolate flavour in it at all. I can’t even put it down to the sprinkles taking over the flavour. The chocolate taste was so wishy-washy. Maybe Krispy Kreme would have done better by coating the whole chocolate in chocolate icing.
Yeah, this one didn't have much flavour to it at all. It looks spooky with those colours, but there was sod all taste! Another idea fro Krispy Kreme… Why not make a dark chocolate Signature Ring? That would have a lot more flavour than this one. Quite a bit of a let down. I know I couldn’t have expected much as the base is a Signature Ring, but c’mon… give us some chocolate flavour at least!
