Yesterday I faced a choice between going on a hike to Abiqua Falls with friends, or shooting a basketball from half court at the gym I joined for a chance to win $10,000 USD. Even though I am a pretty good shot (not that I like basketball), it may surprise some of you that I am extremely grateful I decided to go on this hike instead.
The waterfall at Abiqua falls is priceless, and certainly worth more than any amount of fiat currency. This waterfall and the cove in which the fall resides is something I remember from my dreams and previous lives. The area is too familiar to me, and I know I have been here before. The rocks that stretch down from the hilltops look like rectangular stalactites, combined with the moss and mist - its indescribable.
In the first part of the video, I thought we started at the trailhead, however we actually had to hike about a mile and a half down the road first to get to the start of the trail. The hike down through this majikal forest of moss and ferns was unbelievable, and definitely my kind of woods.
The sun was shining bright on us this day, in a time of my life where I am faced with difficult conversations of truth, and doing my best to find answers with honor AND love. My transformation is far from complete, and in being honest and honorable, I struggle with knowing the right thing to do. This place did not grant me any clear answers, as those answers reside within me, but did remind me once again of WHO I AM.
Be true to our heart, ourselves, our tribe, and be true to our honor. Somewhere in the midst off all that, the answer we are seeking is surfacing, with a profound secret of divine wisdom and love to be learned. Waterfalls are a perfect medicine for hurting hearts - and something every human should be experiencing.

There was not one spec of trash anywhere on this hike, the road before the trailhead, or anywhere in the waterfall cove. This is a sacred natural sanctuary, and it makes me happy to see all Oegonians treating it with the respect it deserves. I said a prayer here and gave thanks for everything. Enjoy the following video of our adventure, this is the first time I have ever used my GoPro head-strap, and i fast-forwarded the hike itself for a shorter video. Music includes the unmastered version of my upcoming track Shift the Focus, a beat by a producer that recently ripped me off (might as well), and the custom #TribeVibes beat from Totem for our upcoming mixtape.
Do not forget that my debut conscious Hip-Hop album is completely free for download on Bandcamp and Soundcloud (click the links to go to my music on those platforms), or CLICK HERE for download instructions.
