As I said in my post "The cañonera music fully explained" ( steemit.com/music/@ylich/the-canonera-music-fully-explained ), the cañonera music, in many cases uses the jazz scheme, introducing the melody, later giving way to the solos of the musicians, finally closing with the melody, once again.
Although it was not the custom of the cañonero groups to play jazz repertoire, I wanted to make a reference that was direct and decided to cover a standard of jazz to merengue from Caracas. For that I chose that piece composed by the trumpeter Lewis Morgan and I made its cañonera version.
This track is part of the album of my group, "Los Cañoneros", which is titled "Luna sobre el Valle".
Tal como lo conté en mi artículo "The cañonera music fully explained" (steemit.com/music/@ylich/the-canonera-music-fully-explained), la música cañonera, en muchos casos utiliza el esquema del jazz de introducir la melodía, posteriormente darle paso a los solos de los músicos para finalmente cerra con la melodía, una vez más.
Aunque no era costumbre de los grupos cañoneros interpretar repertorio de jazz, yo quise hacer una referencia que fuera directa y decidí versionar un estándar de jazz a merengue caraqueño. Para eso escogí esa pieza compuesta por el trompetista Lewis Morgan y le hice su adaptación cañonera.
Esta pieza forma parte del disco de mi grupo, "Los Cañoneros", que lleva por título "Luna sobre el Valle".
Wie ich in meinem Beitrag "The cañonera music fully explained" (steemit.com/music/@ylich/the-canonera-music-fully-explained), verwendet die Cañonera-Musik in vielen Fällen das Jazz-Schema, das die Melodie einführt und später dem Soli der Musiker, um am ende wieder mit der Melodie zu schließen.
Obwohl es nicht die Gewohnheit der Cañonero-Gruppen war, Jazzrepertoire zu spielen, wollte ich eine direkte Referenz geben und beschloss, einen Standard des Jazz zu Merengue von Caracas zu versionieren.
