Vor zwei Wochen hat @nerdtopiade einen Post gemacht über Keys zu Spielen auf Steam. Man konnte wählen, welchen er selbst ausprobieren und welche er verschenken soll - ohne zu wissen, welche Spiele hinter den Keys stecken.
Two weeks ago @nerdtopiade made a post about keys to games on Steam. Steemians should vote which one he should try himself and which ones he would give away - without knowing what games were behind the keys.
Als er schrieb, was das Spiel war, das sich hinter seinem Schlüssel versteckte, war ich fasziniert. Ein Date mit einer Katze zu haben und mehr über die Gesellschaft der Katzen zu erfahren - das ist interessant, nicht wahr? Nicht? schulterzuck Die Geschmäcker sind verschieden...
When he told us what was the game hiding behind his key I was intrigued. Having a date with a cat and getting to know more about feline society - that's interesting, isn't it? Not? shrugs There's no accounting for tastes.
You wonder why I'm writing this post? Well, I was the lucky recipient of the two keys he gave away. So I'm writing a post to show him what he missed out on 1. So here's game no. 1, the next one is coming soon (currently still downloading...)

Als ich den Namen des Spiels las, war ich nicht wirklich begeistert. Ich bin nicht so begeistert von Simulationen und "Automechaniker"? Nun, das ist so weit von meinen Interessen entfernt wie man es sich nur vorstellen kann. Aber ich war bereit, überrascht zu sein.
When I read the name of the game I was a bit underwhelmed. I'm not that fond of simulations and 'car mechanic'? Well, that's as far as something can be from my interests. But I was prepared to be surprised.
Und ich war überrascht. Zuerst von der Musik im Spiel. Das ist es, was der angehende Automechaniker hört.... und mit diesem hohen Lautstärkepegel..... Passend dazu war der erste Teil des Tutorials über Steuerung und Interaktion im Spiel, zum Radio zu gehen und es einzuschalten. Das führt zum nächsten Punkt: Wer entschied, dass "head bob" eine erforderliche Sache ist? Wenn ich mich bewegen will, als wäre ich betrunken, möchte ich zuerst den Wein haben.... die Kontrolle war so träge, es war grauselig. Auch ohne "head bob" war es vorsichtiges Manövrieren notwendig, um dorthin zu kicken wo ich es wollte.
And suprised I was. First by the music in the game. That's what the up and coming car mechanic is listening to... and with that high a volume... Fittingly the first part of the tutorial about controls and interaction in the game was to go to the radio and turn it on. That leads to the next point: Who decided that 'head bob' was a needed thing? If I want to move like I was drunk I'd like to have the wine first... the control was so sluggish, it was horrible. Even without head bob it was a careful maneurvering to hit the right thing.
Deine Garage und das Ziel des ersten "Auftrags": Austausch der Bremsbeläge an den Vorderrädern. Habe ich erwähnt, dass ich keine Ahnung von Autoteilen habe und wie sie funktionieren? Und ich bin nicht daran interessiert, mehr darüber zu lernen. Es gibt Dinge, da kann ich gut leben, ohne zu wissen, wie sie funktionieren. Ich kann ein Auto fahren, ich weiß, wie und wo man Benzin einfüllt, wie und wo man Wasser und Öl kontrolliert. Aber wenn ich etwas über die Teile eines Autos lernen wollte (und deren englische Namen), wäre das Spiel hier perfekt.
Your garage and the object of your first "mission": changing the brake pads at the front wheels. Did I mention that I have no idea about car parts and how they work? And I'm not interested in learning about it. There are things I can live without knowing how they work. I can drive a car, I know how and where to put fuel in it, how and where to check the water and oil. But if I wanted to learn about the parts of a car (and that in English), this would be the perfect way.
Es wird einem genau gesagt was man tun soll. Und wen es interessiert: "brake caliper" ist der Bremssattel (vorausgesetzt dass das Wörterbuch recht hat).
In the beginning you're told exactly what to do. And I only looked up "brake caliper" in the dictionary because I had to write the text in German.
Jedenfalls habe ich die Bremsbeläge an den Vorderrädern gewechselt (einschließlich dem Bestellen der neuen Teile über den Computer der Werkstatt) - ich sage euch, ich habe wirklich jeden einzelnen der 250 virtuellen Dollar hart verdient, die dieser Auftrag brachte. Das war aber auch der erste und letzte, den ich gemacht habe - bye, bye, bye, bye, Car Mechanic Simulator. Vielleicht sind neuere Versionen besser, aber das Leben ist kurz ;)
Anyway, I changed the brake pads of both front wheels (including ordering the new parts via the garage's computer) - I tell you , I really earned earned every single one of the 250 virtual dollars I earned for that job. Which was the first and last one I did - bye, bye, Car Mechanic Simulator. Perhaps newer versions are better, but life's short ;)
Das zweite Spiel lädt noch herunter (mehrere GB) und ich werde darüber in einem anderen Beitrag berichten. Wenn ich bei Steem und Discord abwesend bin, habe ich mich in diesem Spiel verirrt. Ich habe darüber viel gelesen und gehört, habe es aber nie gespielt - eines der Spiele, die mir entgangen sind.....
The second game is still downloading (several GB) and I will tell you about that in another post. If I'm absent from Steem and Discord I got lost in that game. I heard and read about it, but never got to play it - one of the games that "got away"...
