Last January of this year 2020. I visited one of the wonders of Venezuela, a region of my home country, very happy because I had years without visiting this magical city called Merida in the Venezuelan Andes

El pasado enero de este año 2020. Visite una de las maravillas de Venezuela, una región de mi país natal, muy feliz por que tenía años sin visitar este mágica ciudad llamada Mérida en la zona de los Andes venezolanos

Junto a mis colegas Pedro Alcalá Maestro y creador en danza contemporánea y a Milagros Fonseca fotógrafo del teatro Teresa Carreño y del laboratorio del Cuerpo, que en este como en otras ediciones del laboratorio ha hecho su registro fotográfico. The Dance Department of the Universidad de los Andes (ULA) and the training platform Mérida Urbana Venezuela They organize this workshop in the spaces of the ULA. Production of Oswaldo Garcia performer in contemporary dance and teacher in the National Experimental University of the Arts (Unearte) also teacher in the ULA, and Livia Labrador, Performer in contemporary dance and dancer of hip hop dance and urban genres, Director of the Mérida Urbana platform. They receive us with the least of the energies to begin the day and share our information in these spaces with young people open to receive this guide, and route of the new dance, that we take in each edition of the laboratory, techniques of movement, improvisation, contact, and from my part with my training program MAAC (acrobatic animal movement), the study of the acrobatic qualities from the minimum to the maximum.
El departamento de Danza de la Universidad de los Andes (ULA) y la plataforma de entrenamiento Mérida Urbana Venezuela. Organizan este taller en los espacios de la ULA. producción de Oswaldo García intérprete en danza contemporánea y maestro en la Universidad nacional Experimental de las artes (Unearte) también docente en la ULA, y Livia labrador, intérprete en danza contemporánea y bailarina de hip Hop dance y géneros urbanos, Directora de la plataforma Mérida Urbana. Nos reciben con las menores de las energías para comenzar la jornada y compartir nuestra información en estos espacios con jóvenes abiertos a recibir está guía, y ruta de la nueva danza, que llevamos en cada edición del laboratorio,técnicas de movimiento, improvisación, contacto, y de mi parte con mi programa de entrenamiento MAAC (movimiento animal acrobático), el estudio de las cualidades acrobáticas desde lo mínimo a lo máximo.
The workshop lasted 25 hours in total, 6 days from Monday to Saturday, with 22 participants, most of whom were dance students, two actresses, and a yoga practitioner. It was a renewing meeting and very nice. We all ended up tired but happy.
El workshop tuvo una duración de 25 horas en total, 6 días de lunes a sábado, con 22 participantes, que en su mayoría eran estudiantes de danza, dos actrices, una practicante de yoga. Fue un encuentro renovador y muy bonito todos terminamos cansados pero contentos.
This meeting was very important for our work because it was the beginning of our tour in Latin America that was forced to stop due to the health contingency of covid-19.
But dance and art do not die, many artists of all styles and from all over the world are rethinking from home organizing forums, meetings, discussions, laboratories of creation from home, let's say that is one of the strongest crisis in the world, but for the creators it is a challenge, that if it is turned around we can assume with the right tools, virtual or real platforms to put our products and projects, share them, because the human being does not live without communication I have exchanged life is a receiving to transform.
Este encuentro fue muy importante para nuestro trabajo por que fue el principio de nuestra gira por Latinoamérica que se vio forzada a detenerse por la contingencia de salud por el covid-19.
Pero igual la danza y el arte no mueren muchos artistas de todos los estilos y de todo el mundo se están replanteando desde casa organizando, foros, encuentros, conversatorios, laboratorios de creación desde casa, digamos que es una de las crisis más fuerte que pasa el mundo, pero para los creadores les va como anillo al dedo, por es un reto, que si se le da la vuelta podemos asumirlos con las herramientas indicadas, plataformas virtuales o reales para poner nuestros productos y proyectos, compartirlos, por que el ser humano no vive sin comunicación he intercambiado la vida es un recibir para transformar.
This dance intensive allows me to socialize with other incredible dancers who are hungry to continue generating these spaces, these creative processes, these ancestral dance rituals that historically have always been like this, a mass of people moving the space with one energy like warriors, an excuse for celebration, the enjoyment of simply moving, worshipping the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the dance has always had this magical connection with the earth. And as a species we have been moving away from it.
Merida allowed me to realize something so beautiful, a journey, where you go you adapt and transform.
Este intensivo de danza me permito socializar con otros bailarines increíbles que están con hambre de seguir generando estos espacios, estos procesos de creación, estos rituales ancestrales de la danza que históricamente siempre a sido así,una masa de gente moviendo el espacio con una sola energía como unos guerreros, una excusa para la celebración, el disfrute de simplemente moverse, adoración a la tierra, el sol,la luna las estrellas, la danza siempre a tenido esta conexión mágica con la tierra. Y como especie nos hemos ido alejando de la ella.
Mérida me permitió darme cuenta de algo tan hermoso, un viaje, a donde vas te adaptas y transformas.
For my part I am always custionando, aware of this cycle of life, to give in to receive, thanks to this is my love to share what with our present we can do, motivate and enjoy the progress of others all those who accompany me, in my class for all or at least most take part of me. For me I do not want to generate beings reproducing acrobatics but rather conscious, critical, discursive and creative beings.
De mi parte siempre me estoy custionando, consciente de este ciclo de vida, de ceder para recibir, gracias a esto es mi amor a compartir lo que con nuestros presente podemos hacer,motivar y disfrutar el avance de otros todos los que que me acompañen, en mi clase para todos o por lo menos la mayoría se lleven parte de mi. Por yo no quiero generar seres reproductores de acrobacias si más bien seres conscientes, críticos, discursivos y creadores.
Then you'll wonder why it absorbs and transforms into the title.
What I value most and rescued from these meetings is the process of recognition in the other, that energy exchange that moves in these spaces where we receive and give electricity to meet our goal as a herd, we meet to create, to talk from various dynamics that we raise in this space where we are all important, for that feedback happens I have incredible exchange we must tell us and move the space.

Lo que más valoro y rescató de estos encuentros es el proceso de reconocimiento en el otro,ese intercambio energético que se mueve en estos espacios donde recibimos y damos electricidad para cumplir nuestro objetivo como manada,nos reunimos a crear,a hablar desde diversas dinámicas que planteamos en este espacio en el que todos somos importantes, para que suceda esa retroalimentación he intercambio increíble debemos contarnos y mover el espacio
It's no secret that the human being is in constant communication and exchange of this information of languages, poetic, plastic, performatics, the artist absorbs a technique and then transform it and you can start building from other questions, perceptions, motivations, in short, this process of listening to inhabit a technique and start creating from your experiences and learning takes time to start creating from what we really are one of the resources that would work to meet your creative self would be, improvisation.
No es secreto para nadie que el ser humano está en constante comunicación he intercambio de esta información de los lenguajes, poéticos, plásticos, performaticos, el artista absorbe una técnica y luego la transforma, para así empezar a construir desde otras preguntas, percepciones, motivaciones, en fin, este proceso de escucha propia para habitar una técnica y empezar a comunicar desde tus experiencias propias, desde adentro hacia afuera este aprendizaje lleva su tiempo, (jamás termina) ,para construir realmente desde lo que somos, uno de los recursos que le funcionarian para encontrarse con tu yo creativo sería, la improvisación.
In our free time we visited the Munkuvari cable car, one of the highest in the world in Merida Venezuela. Incredible how the height modifies your times, your weight, your whole being. Imagine Quito or Bogota which are the highest cities in Latin America.
En nuestro tiempo libre visitamos el teleférico Munkuvari, uno de los más altos de mundo en Mérida Venezuela. Increíble como la altura modifica tus tiempos, tu peso, todo tu ser imagínese Quito o Bogotá que son la ciudades más altas de Latinoamérica.
