5 Powerful Habits of Ridiculously Happy People!

If you ask different people what they want out of life, many will say that they want to be happy. We place our happiness on external things, such as being happy when married or owning a house. Once we get these things, we find that they don't bring the same amount of joy as they initially did.

We might feel like a victim and say that we can't be happy because how life has treated us. Indeed, we often have little control over what happens in life, but we can control our responses. You'll notice that all of these habits have one thing in common. They focus on what we do and not what we achieve or what happens to us.

1. Realize This Moment Is All You Have

Bad things might have happened in your past. Maybe you think the best is behind you? Perhaps you are afraid about what will happen in your future. But, unfortunately, the end is out of our control. We can't even control what will happen 2 hours from now.

It's time to start living in the moment. Enjoy that cup of coffee. Spend time with your family as your time with them is temporary.

There is only one moment to be happy, and that is right now. It's your choice. Choose happiness.

2. Be Grateful for Each Second

If you try hard enough, you can find something to be grateful for no matter what is going on. If you have trouble, think, "what would you miss if it was suddenly taken away?" For example, would you miss your house, your car, or your family?

These are all things to appreciate. The more appreciation you give to the items in your life, the more things you will find to be grateful for. More gratitude equals more happiness.

3. Make Sure To Get Your Exercise

Happy people get their exercise in. Regular exercise increases serotonin, dopamine, and GABA, all of which are neurotransmitters in the brain that make you happy. Most antidepressant drugs work on these neurotransmitters.

Is it no surprise that the people who exercise most often are also usually happier? Now you know why!

4. Remember That You Can't Control Much, Except for Your Thoughts

Nothing will rob you of more energy than trying to control things that we have no control over. However, we do have control over our reactions to what happens, which usually involves our thoughts.

Imagine you are doing a speech and two rude people are talking. You can decide to focus on this or the many people who listened and told you what a great job you did.

You can focus on how hard life is or how strong you will be when you make it out of this situation. You have direct control over your thoughts. Choose them wisely.

Talking about the power of thoughts, I discuss in detail how to harness the power of your thinking in my free report "How To Become Your Best Self."

5. Follow Your Passion

Have you heard the saying, "do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life?" Life is short. You only live once. Don't waste your limited time on doing something you don't enjoy. Stop making excuses and follow your passion.

How can you turn your passion into profit?

A Few Last Words

Happiness is a choice. You can choose to respond to life in ways that will make you happy.

Building happiness is a little like exercise. If you are out of shape, you can't expect to run a marathon. You need to slowly get into shape before you can do any strenuous exercise.

It will take time to build your happiness muscles, particularly if you've been depressed for a while. So be easy on yourself and realize that it will take time to become happy.

6.) Bonus Habit

Work with a life coach or someone that can hold you accountable. Work with someone you can share the secrets of your soul with but will still encourage you to push on and achieve greatness.
