Earn 21% APR on Delegations to the Creative Coin Fund

The Creative Coin Fund, a curation and investment account dedicated to Creative Coin, will now pay interest on Creative Coin delegations to the Fund (@cccf).

Weekly payouts in CCC will begin on July 12, at a base annual rate of 21 percent.

Unlike many curation accounts on Hive, the payouts will not be contingent on the curation rewards earned by @cccf; instead, they will be simple interest payments on CCC delegations.

A Variable Rate

Twenty-one percent is the base, or minimum, interest rate for CCC delegations to the Fund. However, the rate will vary depending on market conditions.

The interest rate will be adjusted monthly. When the monthly average price of Creative Coin declines from one month to the next, the rate will be increased by 2 percent. When the average price is increasing, the rate will either remain at 21 percent, or be lowered by 1 percent until it reaches the base rate again.

The purpose of the variable rate is to provide additional incentive for investment during a falling market and thereby support reversal of the trend, and to compensate delegators to the Fund for the decreasing value of their interest payments.

Curation Philosophy and Strategy

The Creative Coin Fund rewards high-quality creative work with a 100 percent upvote of between 20 and 30 CCC (the value of the upvote is increasing daily as the Fund continues to stake CCC). On a typical curation day, four or five individual artists receive the full upvote.

Creative work that does not quite measure up to the high-quality or exceptional standard will receive a minimum vote of 4 CCC. The Fund casts a large number of 4 CCC votes on a curation day, as a way to encourage use of #creativecoin and maintain the size of the network. This is based on the idea that the value of the token is determined by the number of people using the token.

The Creative Coin Fund also attempts to utilize a network effect by supporting other curation and community accounts (such as Monochromes and the Ink Well) with frequent 100 percent upvotes. This enables them to reward their artists with a larger CCC upvote and broadens distribution of the token beyond what the Fund could accomplish on its own.

Thank You to Our First Delegators

The Creative Coin Fund was established in May of this year. These two benefactors delegated to the project immediately, with no promise of delegation rewards.
