The carpenter started building the woodbox for the living room on Tuesday. He got the frame all finished and then stained everything.
On Wednesday he got it ready to move upstairs and had his helper come to do it. They encountered a snag: the opening to the cellar stairs was too small. So they decided to take it out the bulkhead. It was ½” too big. He had to take off the top 2” x 4” to get it out. They finally got it into the living room and put back together. It fit perfectly in the space.
He has all the trim boards ready to put on Thursday. I’ve already loaded the cubbies up….
