While waiting for the final results of RM Sotheby's March Open Roads, RM Sotheby's is offering up this unique and artsy 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S as part of the charity sale for the Swiss non-profit organization Suisseculture Sociale to support artists in Switzerland during this pandemic :
This Porsche Taycan was vinyl-printed by Richard Phillips, American hyperrealist artist, inspired by his 2010 painting the Queen of the Night. What is your first impression about this car ?
You're sure to be noticed on the road š
History of Porsche Taycan 4S
Porsche has been slow to produce his first electric car, but with the Taycan, the engineers have kept the importance of maintaining the very nature of a Porsche, a great design with incredible performance. In 2015, the concept car Porsche Mission E was presented at the Francfurt Motor Show with a great media success :

Then four years later, the Taycan, Porscheās first all-electric sports car, was unveiled in Frankfurt too. Before, the endurance's model was tested on the Nardo circuit (Italy) covering 3,425 km in 24 hours. And its speed on the famous Nurburgring with a time of 7:42, faster than the 911 GT3. Impressive...
Richard Phillips
Porsche and the NY based artist Richard Phillips collaborated to this special edition, the Taycan 4S Artcar. For this work, Phillips was inspired by his work Queen of the Night :
Queen of the Night, 2010
This painting was inspired by the Swiss painter Adolf Dietrich when Phillips was eating in the Kronenhalle restaurant in ZĆ¼rich, famous place for artists since 1924 with a huge collection of paintings : Giacometti , Matisse, Mir... and of course Dietrich.
Richard Phillips is also a Porsche's fan and had already worked with the German brandm especially with the driver Jƶrg Bergmeister for his helmet fort the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans (I don't find a pic of this helmet, so if you find one, don't hesitate to post a comment š) and in 2019 a complete livery for Bergmeister and his Porsche 911 RSR :

"Using figurative imagery like I had for the Le Mans car didnāt seem to be appropriate, especially for electric mobility and the idea of sustainability and environmental issues." - Richard Phillips
The story of the Porsche Taycan is only just beginning, but a special collaboration with Richard Phillips marks a distinctive chapter for Porscheās first all-electric sports car: The creation of the Taycan 4S Artcar, which wears a vibrant livery based on Phillipsā Queen of the Night.
As Phillipsā 2010 painting is itself a large-scale homage to a still life by the great Swiss artist Adolf Dietrich, it is fitting that the sale of this special Porsche will benefit the Swiss non-profit organization Suisseculture Sociale. Proceeds of the sale will aid creatives impacted by the COVID-19 pandemicāadding yet another dimension to the already compelling collaborative project.
