Prevention is the key to enjoying life without as many health ups and downs as possible. I remember when the covid-19 pandemic started, everyone around me, including me, was very afraid. As time went on, that fear dissipated, increasing the number of infections and, in turn, the death of many people around me.
I am a woman of faith, of conviction, but also science. Today, many of us are already vaccinated but the virus has continued to mutate, which means a greater risk for those who have not received a second dose of the vaccine and even worse for those who have not even received the first.
Today I was in an X-ray room doing a study to rule out any complications arising from another situation. While I was there I watched as an elderly lady entered the room to have a chest x-ray, outside her daughter was waiting for her who was also affected by a strong cough, I just prayed for a moment to God for them that hopefully, they will not have Covid-19.
Prevention plays a fundamental factor when we also understand that there are people who are more vulnerable than others and that we should think about all those around us.

Bienvenido a mi blog.
La prevención es la clave para disfrutar de la vida sin tantos altibajos de salud como sea posible. Recuerdo que cuando empezó la pandemia del covid-19, todo el mundo a mi alrededor, incluido yo, tenía mucho miedo. Con el paso del tiempo, ese miedo se disipó, aumentando el número de contagios y, a su vez, la muerte de muchas personas de mi entorno.
Soy una mujer de fe, de convicción, pero también de ciencia. Hoy en día, muchos de nosotros ya estamos vacunados, pero el virus ha seguido mutando, lo que supone un riesgo mayor para quienes no han recibido una segunda dosis de la vacuna y aún peor para quienes ni siquiera han recibido la primera.
Hoy he estado en una sala de rayos X haciendo un estudio para descartar cualquier complicación derivada de otra situación. Mientras estaba allí vi como una señora mayor entraba a la sala para hacerse una radiografía de tórax, afuera la esperaba su hija que también estaba afectada por una fuerte tos, solo pedí por un momento a Dios por ellas que ojalá no tengan Covid-19.
La prevención juega un factor fundamental cuando también entendemos que hay personas más vulnerables que otras y que debemos pensar en todos los que nos rodean.
