Foodie got a job!

I'm excited!

It's been a while since I last worked for a boss, but this place seems to have a nice atmosphere.

I had my second interview yesterday and after some hard questions ('Tell us about yourself'), we talked terms of employment and that was that. I was asked to start on the 26th of november, but the HR lady wanted to talk to a more direct co-worker about that first to see what he preferred, so I'll know more about that on monday. Either way, I'll start pretty soon.

I'm going to manage an application and I'll have to learn all about it first. I've used the application before, but never managed it.

The people there seem nice. Ofcourse I'm a little nervous about starting this, but not nearly as much as I would have been for that job I turned down a week ago.

Another big plus is that the drive is a little easier and shorter. Basically, it's just across the water, so if I would have had a boat and a place to dock it, I'd almost be faster over the water, were it not for the fact that I'd have to cycle a little bit after docking. The bridge over the water is a little further away from home, but close enough! It's a 20-25 minutes drive.

I'd like to work on monday, wednesday and thursday, but ofcourse this has to be discussed with co-workers too, so we'll see how that goes. Monday is good for the week opening and because it's a busy day, thursday is a busy day too and they said wednesday would probably be good too. Wednesday would be great for me, because that way I can just drive straight to my father in law for dinner on wednesdays.

Getting another steady income is nice for us. Blogging and cryptos are quite horrible right now for earning anything whatsoever, so I'm happy I now have a much better alternative. This does mean I'll spend less time blogging and doing my other interests. I'm sad about that, but I just can't justify doing this as much as I did without earning anything in return. I'll do some blogging on my days off when I'm up for it, but I'm not sure if I'll have the energy for it as much as I do now. We'll see.

In other news: we have to get a new car! Hubby's using mine for work and I'm going to be needing it in 1,5 weeks. So he's checking out used cars he thinks will work for him. We'll probably have to take some test drives soon.

This reminds me, I need to do some banking so we'll have the needed money in the right account.

Okay, hmm... in other, other news: I've been watching Netflix a little lately. Tried to get back into Outlander, but it's hard. I honestly can't stand the bitchy, slutty main character and I don't like the elaborate sex scenes either. If I wanted to see that, I'd look at porno.

That's something Netflix seems to be big on anyway! In many of their own series, they love to include nudity and sex. Preferably in the very first episode. I wonder what kinda people are calling the shots there.

Luckily, there are also some shows that aren't focussed on that, so yeah, I can watch those.

Oh! Before I forget, in other, other, other news: I made clafoutis for the very first time! I still had a jar of amarena cherries and I had too many eggs left, so I figured I should try this sometime. Oh my gosh, it is divine! The clafoutis as a whole is great, but these cherries... Can you fall in love with a food? I think I'm in love with these cherries...

Now I just have to wait until Lidl offers them up for sale again. Oh, and I'll have to work out the recipe some day to share here and on my food blog. Gotta keep that thing available to me.

Okay, that's it from me today. Hope you're all doing well!
