Hoy quiero hablarles y compartir información sobre una de mis plantas, una de las más hermosas y coloridas llamada “Lluvia de estrellas” la cual compré hace unos meses en un vivero, fue una decisión difícil tener que elegir entre tantas plantas pero me decidí por esta ya que quería una que sea de flores y su hermoso y llamativo color llamó mucho mi atención, así que fue la que traje a casa para darle un nuevo hogar en mi jardín, les contaré un poco sobre esta planta y sus cuidados, espero que la información sea de utilidad para todos los que tengan esta planta en casa o deseen una para su jardín sin más, acá les muestro.

Today I want to talk to you and share information about one of my plants, one of the most beautiful and colorful called "Lluvia de estrellas" which I bought a few months ago in a nursery, it was a difficult decision to have to choose between so many plants but I decided on this one since I wanted one with flowers and its beautiful and striking color caught my attention, so it was the one I brought home to give it a new home in my garden, I will tell you a little about this plant and its care, I hope you information is useful for all those who have this plant at home or want one for their garden without further ado, here I show them.

La _Penta lanceolata_ o mejor conocida como _lluvia de estrellas_ o _estrella egipcia_ es una planta ornamental de interior y exterior tanto en suelo como en macetas, tiene forma de arbusto y posee racimos de flores de colores llamativos, los cuales atraen a mariposas y colibríes.

The _Penta lanceolata_ or better known as _star rain_ or _Egyptian star_ is an indoor and outdoor ornamental plant both in the ground and in pots, it is shaped like a bush and has clusters of brightly colored flowers, which attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

Sus flores tienen forma de estrellas, de allí proviene su nombre, son hermafroditas y florecen en la época de verano o durante climas cálidos, las hay de una gran variedad de colores, entre los cuales destacan: rojo, rosa, blanco, purpura e incluso colores mixtos, lo que las hace una excelente planta para decorar jardines o espacios abiertos gracias a que solo ocupan un pequeño espacio y tienen muchas flores con colores vivos.

Its flowers are star-shaped, hence its name, they are hermaphroditic and bloom in the summer or during hot climates, there are a wide variety of colors, among which are: red, pink, white, purple and even mixed colors, which makes them an excellent plant to decorate gardens or open spaces thanks to the fact that they only occupy a small space and have many flowers with bright colors.

Esta planta crece con facilidad tanto en suelo como en macetas en interiores siempre que reciba suficiente luz, pero, tiene mejor crecimiento y desarrollo cuando está en un suelo con buen drenaje y recibiendo luz directa del sol.

This plant grows easily both in soil and in pots indoors as long as it receives enough light, but it grows and develops best when in well-draining soil and receiving direct sunlight.

Su cultivo es muy fácil, se reproduce mediante semillas o esquejes, para esta última forma se recomienda extraerlos durante la primavera y enterrarlos en un suelo húmedo, en aproximadamente 2 semanas se origina una nueva planta, mientras que por semillas solo deben sembrarse en el suelo directamente y a diferencia de las que nacen por esquejes estas tardan más en florecer.

Its cultivation is very easy, it reproduces by means of seeds or cuttings, for this last form it is recommended to extract them during the spring and bury them in moist soil, in approximately 2 weeks a new plant originates, while by seeds they should only be sown in the ground. directly and unlike those that are born by cuttings, these take longer to flower.

En mi caso la obtuve de un vivero, por lo que la planta vino en una bolsa plástica con su respectiva tierra, así que solo tuve que ubicar un espacio de suelo con un buen drenaje, abrir un agujero y trasplantarla con la tierra que ya trae, luego tapar con el resto de la tierra y regar para humedecerla y pueda pegarse, hoy en día, unos meses después está radiante y llena de flores.

In my case I got it from a nursery, so the plant came in a plastic bag with its respective soil, so I only had to locate a space of soil with good drainage, open a hole and transplant it with the soil it already has. , then cover with the rest of the soil and water to moisten it so it can stick, today, a few months later, it is radiant and full of flowers.

Esta planta es de fácil cuidado y mantenimiento, solo debemos asegurarnos de que reciba suficiente agua y luz solar para garantizar su buen desarrollo y crecimiento. Se recomienda eliminar las flores muertas para dar lugar a las nuevas, permitiendo así una floración abundante, además, debe ser abonada en la estación de primavera con fertilizante y evitar el crecimiento de las malas hierbas a su alrededor de tal forma que no puedan retener los nutrientes del suelo.

This plant is easy to care for and maintain, we just have to make sure that it receives enough water and sunlight to guarantee its proper development and growth. It is recommended to eliminate dead flowers to make room for new ones, thus allowing abundant flowering, in addition, it must be paid in the spring season with fertilizer and avoid the growth of weeds around it in such a way that they cannot retain the seeds. soil nutrients.
