#BeerSaturday is at week 221 and I am closing the book on a haul from an old favourite brewery.

I became a beer blogger because of the years I have spent brewing for myself, the breweries I work with now on their technology and marketing, and the decades spent imbibing combine for the self-decreed title of the #Blockchain #Beerologist.
This week, I conclude the tale of visiting one of my preferred highway stops on the way to cottage country Redline Brewhouse http://www.redlinebrewhouse.com/.
Pint of the Week!
To kick things off properly, I will highlight a pint enjoyed on the town as summer winds down. This week, it is a marketing discussion on the wonderful patio at https://rajastratford.ca These pints are from Cool India Brewing http://coolindiabrewing.com/ just down the road in London Being a fan of Kingfisher when enjoying Indian cuisine, I had never heard of Asura and was happy to discover a new Indian style beer, brewed right here in the area.
It was stronger by far than what I was used to, maltier and hoppier. Damn fine pint and I will have another next time I dine there!
As a review of chapter 1:/@zekepickleman/beer-saturday-220-return-to-redline-part-1 I was on my yearly pilgrimage to Magfest, a cottage-based music festival thrown by 100 of the coolest people you would ever want to camp with, and I had to make a detour to visit an old friend. Later on this week, I will have to share with you the Magfest adventure but this is #beersaturday dammit!
You never know what you are going to get when you stumble into the bottle shop at your small-town craft brewery. I usually hope for full fridges, a fresh regular IPA, and a one-off playground brew I have no hope of getting back home. The first fridge looked a little like this without one of the special beers.
The second fridge looked way more promising with the 650ml bottles, some familiar labels and others that were completely new. This might be good!
Single Hop Series
This one is the second of a pair of single hop experimental limited run brews I found in stock. Single hop IPAs are always a mystery if you are unfamiliar with the hops like last week's Ella, and this weeks Topaz.
No second panel on this limited-run label so here is the dramatic diagonal shot. Spark Single Hop Pale Ale (Topaz) https://redline-brewhouse.shoplightspeed.com/spark-topaz-473ml-can.html has a nice hop character that isn't quite sour, and isn't overly fruity. Definitely different which is nice in my book and I would love to Topaz paired with Galaxy or Ella for a fuller sweet citrus body. Good beer and I am glad one made it home in the cooler.
Next up, we have the knockout punch of awesome to cap off a rewarding haul from the IPA fridge. Clutch is the beer that endeared me to Redline all those years ago. It's full taste and unbelievably low ABV of 4.9% made it one of those rare yummy beers that won't knock you on your ass if you mistakenly have 4 in a row. You may be able to understand why I was excited to see this one.
Double Clutch Double IPA https://redline-brewhouse.shoplightspeed.com/double-clutch.html is a whole lotta beer at 8.2% Alcohol by Volume (ABV) Wet-hopped with the usual suspects of good IPA hops lead by Galaxy and then dry hopped with 6 more hops highlighted by Mosaic, this beer could be a little battle on the tongue. A little flakes oats smooth it out just a touch but does not tame it by any means. Not a beer I would enjoy more than once a session, this beer is all it needs to be and a little more.
'Til Next Time
Redline Breweries has received the coveted seal of approval many times in the past. I only know of a couple other beer nerds who enjoy this brewery as much as I do, and hazily approve once again. Well done Redline.
